Eligibility Criteria

1. Admission to 1st Year Degree courses in Engineering
The student must have passed or appeared 10+2 examination from CHSE, Odisha or Equivalent board with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Information Technology / Geology / Statistics. The candidate should have Passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together. There is no age limit to appear at OJEE for admission into Engineering & Technology courses.


2. Admission to Lateral Entry (Applicable to native of Odisha)
For admission into 2nd year Degree courses in Engineering
I. The student must have passed or appeared in three year Diploma examination (two Year in case of Lateral entry Diploma) in Engineering from State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or from an AICTE approved Institute / from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.

II. The student must have passed or appeared in the Bachelor's Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) and must have passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. Further even though a student from this stream is admitted to second year course, he / she has to clear the subjects of Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of first year engineering program along with second year subjects. The student has to submit the Permanent Resident Certificate (Appendix - I) at the time of counselling.

III. Final results of Diploma examination must be available by the date of counselling. Candidates, whose results are not available on the day of counselling, will not be allowed to participate in the counselling. Candidates have to submit the Permanent Nativity Certificate (Appendix - I) at the time of counselling.
